Epreuve unique. Duchesne, Passavant et Dutuit ne la décrivent. A. Blum l'intègre dans le corpus des œuvres attribuées à Peregrino ('Les nielles du Quattrocento', Musée du Louvre, Cabinet d'estampes Edmond de Rothschild, Paris, Compagnie des Arts photomécaniques, 1950, p. 26, n°121).

Montage de la collection du Baron E. de Rothschild avec l'attribution et le titre de l'œuvre: "PEREGRINI DA CESENA (attr. à)" en caractères rouges et initiales dorées. Au-dessous, le titre: 'Ornements aux deux sphinx' à l'initiale rouge. En bas à gauche, ancien numéro d'inventaire : '18003'. Œuvre conservée dans le recueil L 5 LR (Tome IV) du baron Edmond de Rothschild jusqu'en 2022
